Beyond the scrubs is open to:

• High school students interested in nursing

• Pre-nursing students

• Current nursing students

• New graduate nurses

• Healthcare professionals interested in mentorship and leadership

While our mission centers Black students in healthcare, we welcome individuals who support our mission, values, and commitment to inclusivity.

At this time, membership is free. Our goal is to make mentorship, resources, and community accessible to students without financial barriers.

Members may have access to:

• One-on-one mentorship

• Group mentorship sessions

• Nursing school guidance

• Resume and interview support

• Career exploration

• Speciality spotlights

• Networking opportunities with healthcare professionals

Joining BTS is simple! Students and aspiring nurses can apply by completing our membership interest Google Form. Once submitted, applications will be reviewed and applicants will receive updates about upcoming events, mentorship opportunities, resources, and community initiatives.

As our organization grows, members may also have opportunities to participate in mentorship pairings, leadership programs, volunteer initiatives, and exclusive networking events.

We welcome nurses, healthcare professionals, and advanced nursing students who are passionate about mentorship, leadership, and uplifting the next generation. Interested mentors can apply through our mentorship interest form.

We plan to host:

• Panel discussions

• Networking mixers

• Professional development workshops

• Wellness events

• Study sessions (including TEAS, HESI, NCLEX, etc)

• Scholarship/resource workshops

• Community service opportunities

• Nursing school preparation events

BTS is Atlanta-based, with plans to build both in-person and virtual opportunities for students and mentors across different communities.
